MonarchBird is the UK's independent road safety and dashcam review publication. We help British drivers understand the technology, law, and practical steps that protect them on UK roads — and we test every product we recommend.

Editorial Policy

MonarchBird operates independently of the manufacturers, retailers, and insurance companies we cover. Our product recommendations are based on hands-on testing by our editorial team. We do not accept payment, gifts, or preferential treatment in exchange for positive coverage. When we receive a product for review, this is disclosed in the relevant article.

Our reviews are based on real-world testing on UK roads under UK conditions — urban streets, A-roads, and motorways — across daylight and low-light conditions. We test for what matters in an insurance or legal context: registration plate legibility, GPS accuracy, footage stability, and app reliability.
